One Happy Mama

One Happy Mama (OHM) is a New Orleans–based nonprofit dedicated to empowering and supporting mothers through mentorship, resources, and community-centered programming. Founded in 2021, OHM operates with a clear mission: when mothers are supported, families stabilize and communities thrive. Our signature program, The Mama Tribe, provides structured mentorship, life-skills development, and goal support for young mothers navigating school, work, and parenting. In addition, OHM serves mothers of all ages through A Community of Mamas, offering access to essential items and wellness resources through community baby showers, diaper and period product drives, and our annual Black Maternal Health Week Block Party. To date, OHM has mentored more than 50 mothers and provided direct support and resources to over 600 mothers in the Greater New Orleans area. One Happy Mama exists to ensure every mother feels seen, valued, and equipped to build a healthy and fulfilling life for herself and her family.
