SPCA Serving Erie County

The SPCA Serving Erie County was incorporated in 1867 and proudly known as the second oldest SPCA in the nation. For more than 160 years, we’ve grown from a small group of advocates into a comprehensive animal-welfare organization serving pets, wildlife, farm animals, our community’s most vulnerable animals, and the people who love them. Today, our work spans humane law enforcement, two full-service veterinary hospitals, wildlife rehabilitation, community resource programs, accessible adoptions, and so much more—all driven by the belief that animals and people deserve compassion, dignity, and connection.
